The Times Good University guide 2007 said “In Bradford you will find a diverse mix of people from different backgrounds, faiths, nationalities and ages all sharing the closely-knit city centre campus.”

This sort of press is obviously going to attract prospective students, and all these new students need looking after, creating a challenge for Peter Haines; the University’s Security Manager, and his team. So when a major redevelopment of one of the main buildings was undertaken Peter saw it as an opportunity to create a state-of-the-art security control centre.

Intech were delighted when Peter asked them to create the design for a new control room to go with the new security system being engineered by Clear Image Systems in Huddersfield.

The chosen technical solution was to use a series of large projector cubes for the monitor wall with a two operator control console placed in front and some ancillary storage to one side.

Peter Haines comments “The overall project was very well managed and was delivered on-time and in budget. I am happy with the overall result.”
